San Francisco police propose to be allowed to use robots to kill

The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) has proposed new law policy to use their law enforcement robots to kill suspects

The new SFPD proposal policy as seen by our staff says, Robots will be used as a deadly force option when risk of loss of life of either civilians or law enforcers.

According to San Francisco Police the proposed policy heading to Board of Supervisors Rules Committee will allow police to use the bomb disarm robot to kill

Aaron Peskin a member of the San Francisco board of Supervisors had earlier draft a policy that would have limit the law enforcers from using robots to enforce the law., Peski drafted policy says “Robots shall not be used as a Use of Force against any person”.

This week, San Francisco Police returned the uppercut proposing new policy that will authorize the robots to use firearms. The policy also states that ” only authorised police officers will be permitted to control the robots.

As tech is advancing every year, robots are starting to be used to perform hard tasks globally. However, law enforcers in San Francisco, US will soon use advanced technology to fight crimes.

If the San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) new policy approved, police robots will have licence to kill.
