Two individuals feared to have lost their lives following a tragic accident involving a school bus belonging to Kapsabet Boys High School.
The incident occurred on March 16 in the Patkawanin area along the Marigat-Kabarnet road.
Confirmation of the accident Red Cross which promptly dispatched a rescue team to the site to aid in the evacuation efforts.
According to reports, the school bus, which was en route to Marigat, veered off the road before rolling over multiple times. Shocking images circulated widely depict the bus, now overturned and lodged in the midst of thick vegetation, showing extensive damage.
Responding to the emergency, medical personnel from Baringo Referral Hospital, accompanied by three ambulances, were swiftly deployed to provide assistance at the scene.
Their primary focus was on providing immediate medical attention and first aid to the injured.
The injured individuals were subsequently transferred to Baringo County Referral Hospital for further medical treatment and care.
As investigations into the cause of the accident continue, authorities are working to ensure the safety of students and passengers on school buses traversing the region’s roads.
