In a bid to boost dairy farming in the county, the Agriculture CEC Madam Khatundi conducted an inspection visit to the Koitogos Dynamics Dairy Co-operative Society at Legacy in Cherenganyi constituency this evening. The Cooperative is among the many dairy cooperatives that have benefited from the SDCP program, which aims to support dairy farming across the county in line with the Governor’s manifesto.
During the visit, Madam Khatundi was pleased to see the progress made by the cooperative and the positive impact the SDCP program has had on their operations. She noted that the two coolers provided by the county government under the Agriculture Department’s initiative have been instrumental in improving milk storage and preservation. This has ultimately led to increased productivity and income for the cooperative members.
Madam Khatundi reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to supporting dairy farming in the county and encouraged other cooperatives to take advantage of the SDCP program. She emphasized the importance of value addition in the dairy sector and promised to provide the necessary support to ensure that dairy farmers in the county reap the full benefits of their hard work.
The visit was a great success, and the cooperative members expressed their gratitude to the county government for their continued support. With the implementation of programs such as the SDCP, it is evident that the county government is committed to improving the livelihoods of dairy farmers and promoting the growth of the dairy sector in the region.
