In August 2022 four Presidential candidates William Ruto, Raila Odinga, George Wajackoyah and David Mwaure maneuvered in aim of winning the seat, but the three lost the seat to William Ruto
Raila Odinga and his team challenged Ruto’s win at the Supreme Court of Kenya which after hearing the submitted petition didn’t favor the petitioner, Supreme Court uphold Ruto’s win and later William Ruto who garnered 7,176,141 votes was sworn in as President of the Republic of Kenya.
The two Presidential candidates George Luchiri Wajackoyah and David Waihiga Mwaure accepted the defeat but Raila who garnered 6,942,930 votes claimed he won and his votes were stolen blaming election body Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and his close opponent William Ruto
Raila who was campaigning for Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance candidate in Utawala said he will reveal who helped the President William Ruto to win and say he will keep pushing for government to lower food prices and allocation seats to all Kenya tribes.
