Former Lukenya Chief and Two OCS found Guilty of requesting 50k Bribery, fined 300k

Ruling by the Nairobi Anti-Corruption Court, former Lukenya area chief Tirus Ndambuki Musyoka has been ordered to pay a fine of Ksh. 200,000 or face a four-year prison sentence for accepting a bribe of Ksh. 50,000.

Tirus Musyoka found guilty on three counts of bribery and abuse of office.

Principal Magistrate Isabellah Barasa also sentenced former KBC Police Station officer commanding station (OCS) Chief Inspector Francis Bundi Wilson and former Joska Police Post OCS Inspector Kyalo Munyao Nthiwa.

Wilson and Munyao each received fines of Ksh. 100,000 or a two-year prison term after being convicted on two counts of bribery.

The convictions stem from an incident in 2019, where the three officials were found guilty of accepting a bribe from Peter Muhia Njega in return for releasing his cattle, which were held at KBC Police Station.
