Four shipments of illegal drugs destined for Australia, Guinea Republic and US confiscated in JKIA

Yesterday, detectives from the DCI Anti Narcotics Unit (ANU) successfully intercepted four shipments at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, which were believed to be hiding illegal narcotics.

The consignments were heading to Australia, Guinea Republic, and the US, and their interception was made possible by valuable intelligence leads.

Interestingly, three of these shipments were declared as loincloths, while the fourth was claimed to be an automobile air conditioner. However, upon investigation, authorities suspected that these declarations were merely a cover-up for the illicit substances concealed within the packages.

As a precautionary measure, the seized shipments have been handed over to the government chemist for further analysis and verification of the suspected drugs.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as they continue their efforts to combat drug trafficking and ensure the safety and security of the public. Further updates on the investigation are awaited.
