Bungoma County, Governor Ken Lusaka has announced his nominations for Chief Officers pending approval from the County Assembly. The nominations are part of the governor’s efforts to improve service delivery in the county and streamline the administration of public affairs.
The six nominees include Nicholas Kiboi, who has been nominated as the Education Chief Officer, resident Mt. Elgon. Reuben Wambwa has been nominated as the Trade, Energy, and Industrialization Chief Officer, resident Kanduyi. Dr. Magrina Mayama has been nominated as the Health Chief Officer, resident Webuye West.
Everlyne Wekesa will be the Public Service Chief Officer, resident Sirisia, while Robert Simiyu has been nominated as the Agriculture Chief Officer, resident Kanduyi. Finally, Beatrice Nakhumicha has been nominated as the Cooperatives Chief Officer, resident Kabuchai.
Governor also appointed Agnes Wachie as the Gender, Sports, Youths, and Culture Chief Executive Officer (CEC) to replace Nancy Kibaba, who was recently appointed as the Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the national government. Governor Lusaka congratulated the nominees and urged the County Assembly to expedite the approval process so that they can take up their positions and get to work.
