Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo issued a stern warning to those fueling border conflicts, emphasizing the government’s commitment to discouraging inter-communal disputes.
Omollo, speaking in Migori County, specifically addressed the tribal tensions in Angata Barakoi and Gwitembe along the Migori-Narok border.
He asserted that the government would firmly deal with individuals promoting violence and taking the law into their own hands. During an inspection of Migori airstrip, Omollo, accompanied by Trade Principal Secretary Mohamed Daghar, highlighted ongoing efforts to address border issues through engagement with local leadership.
The clashes in Migori and Narok have resulted in fatalities and injuries, prompting the government to take decisive action against those responsible.
