In a joint intelligence-led operation, NPS officers in Mombasa have recovered suspected narcotics, cash, and mobile phones at the residence of Salim Kilanga Mwinyi in Magongo, Kisauni Sub-county.
The National Police Service, working in collaboration with DCI Anti Narcotics teams and their Coast Region counterparts, executed a meticulously planned raid at the home of Salim Kilanga Mwinyi.
Operation conducted yielded results, including the seizure of approximately 169.18 grams of suspected heroin. With an estimated street value of Ksh 507,540/=, this haul represents a substantial blow to drug trafficking activities in the region.
In addition to the narcotics, the jointed operation also confiscated a considerable sum of cash totaling Ksh 1,327,300/=, along with USD 3,610 and four mobile phones.
These items are believed to be linked to illicit activities and will be subjected to further scrutiny as part of the ongoing investigation.
The raid culminated in the apprehension of one male suspect, identified as Mwinyi Seif Salim Kilanga. As the investigation progresses, the case has been placed under the jurisdiction of DCI Moi Airport Mombasa, where authorities will delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the illicit operations conducted at the raided premises.
