Kega reacts after ORPP’s approves Sabina Chege as Jubilee Party leader

EALA MP Kanini Kega has expressed his reaction following the Registrar of Political Parties’ approval of the removal of former President and Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta, Kioni, and Murathe from the Jubilee Party. Speaking about the decision, Kega emphasized that they had followed the law, while the ousted individuals had chosen to engage in political maneuvers.

In an interview, Kega stated, “We meticulously adhered to the regulations set forth in the law, ensuring that due process was followed. However, those individuals decided to prioritize their political interests above the party’s objectives. Now, we can see the consequences of their actions.”

The removal of Uhuru Kenyatta, Kioni, and Murathe from the Jubilee Party has created a divide within the party, leading to different factions emerging. According to one of these factions, Kanini Kega has assumed the role of acting Secretary General, while Sabina Chege has been designated as the Jubilee Party Leader.

The new developments have intensified the ongoing internal conflicts within the Jubilee Party, with supporters of both factions expressing their divergent views and allegiances. It remains to be seen how these internal power struggles will impact the party’s future direction and political landscape.
