The National Employment Authority (NEA) of Kenya has announced that there are currently 401,000 job opportunities available for Kenyans.
Of these opportunities, a significant portion is allocated to domestic workers, who account for 348,000 of the available positions. Drivers make up another considerable segment, with 28,000 job openings.
An overwhelming 95% of these job opportunities are located in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the country’s role as a major destination for Kenyan workers seeking employment overseas.
According to statistics from 2023, Kenyans living and working abroad send substantial amounts of money back home, with remittances totaling KES 644 billion (approximately USD 4.165 billion). These remittances play a crucial role in supporting the Kenyan economy and improving the livelihoods of families across the country.
