Police in Mbooni East, Makueni County, have detained a 32-year-old woman accused of killing her 82-year-old husband.
The incident reportedly occurred following a disagreement over Ksh. 3,000, with the deceased accusing his young wife of stealing the money.
According to Albanus Mutula, the assistant chief of the area, the suspect, Syombua Musau, allegedly stoned her husband on the back, leading to his instant death.
Musau is currently being held at the Mbumbuni Police Station as she awaits arraignment.
The body of the elderly man has been transported to Tawa morgue.
Assistant Chief Mutula has urged residents to seek peaceful ways to resolve their differences, emphasising the need to avoid taking violent actions.
