Saturday, 29 April 2023, President William Ruto launch the upgrading of the 13km Malava – Kimang’eti – Ikoli road in Malava Constituency, Kakamega County, to bitumen standard.
The launch that was attended by a host of dignitaries, including Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, National Assembly Speaker Hon. Dr. Moses Masika Wetangula, Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula, Kakamega Senator Dr. Boniface Khalwale, and a group of MPs led by Chief Whip Sylvanus Osoro.
Speaking at the launch, the President noted that the upgrading of the Ikoli road is part of the more than 250 kilometres of roads that his regime is upgrading in Kakamega County. He also reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving infrastructure across the country, especially in rural areas, to enhance access to markets and social services.
The President thanked the County leaders for their support and urged them to continue working together for the benefit of their regions.
