National Transport and Safety Authority Takes Steps to Centralize Services for Motor Vehicle Owners and Drivers

In compliance with the government’s directives, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) is actively transitioning all its services to the E-Citizen Platform. This strategic move aims to streamline access to NTSA services through a unified portal, promising improved service delivery to motor vehicle owners and drivers.

Account Validation and Sensitization Efforts Underway

To ensure a seamless transition, NTSA is urging all clients, including motor vehicle owners, financial institutions, insurance companies, dealers, corporations, embassies, ministries, and agencies, to validate their E-Citizen accounts. Organizations are required to log in and add specific organizations using their KRA PIN numbers to guarantee access to all NTSA services within the platform.

As part of stakeholder engagement, virtual trainings and demonstrations are scheduled from 18th to 22nd December 2023 to familiarize various stakeholders with the service flows on the E-Citizen platform. The registration process is free and can be facilitated through www.ntsa.go.ke.

Pending Transactions and TIMS Portal Shutdown

NTSA notifies the public that as part of the onboarding process, the TIMS portal will be temporarily shut down from Friday, 29th December 2023 (Midnight) to Monday, 1st January 2024 (Midnight). This action is taken to limit transactions on all NTSA services and integrate them into the E-Citizen platform single sign-on.

Clients with pending transactions on the TIMS platform are urged to complete their applications by Friday, 15th December 2023, to avoid inconveniences. Starting from Tuesday, 2nd January 2024, only E-Citizen login credentials (Username and Password) will be accepted for NTSA service access.
