Parents & GrandParents in Kajiado drought hit areas sneak to school to eat with pupils

As drought hit some parts in Kenya, hunger has become trend, farmers are losing their animals due to drought

In Kajiado County, parents and grandparents have chose to queue with pupils to get lunch time meal and water to quiche their thirsty throats

Teachers at marked drought areas have no option but to allow the nearby families to seek something to eat at school kitchen

Most of the families have been in hunger after losing their livestock to the drought and relying only on relief food from Government and Well-wishers

Teachers reports that, the affected families usually come and queue calmly with pupils to get Githeri (Cooked mixture of Maize and Beans). Some of parents comes to beg for food at office and before of the situation school management cannot chase them away, Head Teachers says

Teachers in these areas are worried of the situation saying that food in school store are not enough, hoping government and well-wishers with chip-in for help.
