Due to the court of appeal ruling on the finance bill 2023, Safaricom, Kenya’s leading telecommunications provider, has announced adjustments to its call, SMS, data, fibre, and M-Pesa prices.
The mobile services excise duty has increased from 12% to 15%, while the telecommunications services excise duty has been reduced from 20% to 15%.
