The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched an investigation into a reported case of fraud involving a scholarship program to Finland, which was organized by the Uasin Gishu County government.
Numerous complaints have been received from members of the public in Uasin Gishu County, who claim to have been defrauded of millions of shillings in connection with the scholarship program. Promised opportunities to study in the Scandinavian country failed to materialize, leading to suspicion of fraudulent activities.
In response to these allegations, DCI sleuths from the Headquarters will be visiting Uasin Gishu County between July 18 and July 21 to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
All individuals who have been affected by this alleged fraud are urged to present themselves at the DCI County Headquarters in Eldoret on July 18. They will be required to provide their statements and cooperate with other investigative procedures that will help identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
To facilitate the investigation, victims are requested to bring any relevant documents they possess pertaining to the scholarship program and the fraudulent activities surrounding it.
The DCI assures the public that every effort will be made to uncover the truth and ensure that those responsible for this alleged scam face the full force of the law.
