Should government criminalize edited videos that create different topics

Edited videos that shows Pastors, Politicians and other Bodies have been trending in Kenya in the name of comedy but in a negative way

Taarifa Leo Team did research and found out that thousands of such edited videos are been shared on social media, uploaded on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok

The trend is upscaling annually as new members join the video trim & edit team, political leaders, communities and security bodies are the most targeted

Words collection in the edited videos are used to target individual, community and government body negatively is most practiced by YouTube and TikTok content creators in the name of earning cash online

Diverting video topic to different topic has been a norm since Google, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and Instagram started paying content creators, everyone had to think a way to get views and to earn easy money online

Many with just Mobile Phones and PC at home started editing videos and uploading on major social media, not all edited videos are negative. Edited videos containing speech from different individuals to create a different topic is what we should discuss
