Flaying

Flaying, or skinning alive, was used in ancient China, India, and the Middle East. The person would be tied up and their skin would be slowly peeled off while they were still alive. This was an extremely painful and horrific form of punishment.

The rack

The limbs of the convicted would be attached to four sides with chains, and with the help of pulleys and rollers they would stretched till they got torn from the body or became ineffective. It was mostly used while exhorting confessions or information.

Scaphism

Scaphism, also known as the boats, was a punishment used in ancient Persia. The person would be trapped between two boats or hollowed-out logs and force-fed milk and honey until they developed severe diarrhea. They would then be left to float in a stagnant pond, covered in honey and milk, attracting insects and vermin. The person would slowly die from infection, dehydration, and exposure.

Rat

Rat execution is the use of rat to punish a convict by encouraging them to attack and eat the convict alive. To punish the convict, the bowl filled with rats was placed open side down on the naked body of a convict and set the end of the bowl on fire, the rats would “gnaw into the very bowels of the convict” in an attempt to escape the heat, making holes in the victim body thus leading the victim to slow and painful death.

The breaking Wheel

Breaking Wheel Punishment, in this scenario the convicted would have his limbs beaten with a club or a cudgel, and with the turning of the breaking wheel, the bones in his body would slowly break leading to an excruciatingly painful death.

Sawing

Sawing half, was the act of sawing or cutting a living person in half, either sagittally or transversely. Death by sawing was a method of execution reportedly used in different parts of the world.
