Many people both in Urban and Rural Kenya have access power lights that has lead to buying electronics for entertainment, communication, hear/watch news and recreation moments.

Electronics equipments which are televisions, cell phones, computer, DVD players, VCRs, video cameras, digital cameras, gaming consoles, stereos, answering machines, photocopiers, scanners, and printers have been bought by many power lights owners. Statistics contacted by Taarifa Leo have found out that these 3 home appliances the brown goods Games gadgets, Radio and Television have made many young generation fails in schools because of what they are consuming lately.

Most Kenya media have rated consumer content Parental Guidance (PG) indicating that the material may be unsuitable for children under 18 without parental guidance. The programme or movie contains Bad Behavior, Violence, Kissing, Nudity and Sex. Not suitable for young adults age below 18.
Rated 16 – The live programme or movie is restricted not suitable for young children under 16. The show or movie contains Injuries, Dead, Hugging, Romance, Cuddling and Nudity.
GE  – General Exhibition: the programme is suitable for viewing by all ages.

All Televisions programmes and Movies rated 16 and 18 are mainly restricted categories that parents should enforce the legal ratings. Children also should desist from viewing the programme or movie rated 16 and 18 without parents or guardian consent.

Why students fails in schools
Most of children that focuses on Radio and Television programs have entered into much knowing of outside world which affects their thinking capacity. Many young adults age between 13 – 18 have joined social media, watching television programmes and movies consuming contents not suitable for their immature minds.

Taarifa Leo investigation have found that children under 18 frequently using Gadgets, following Politics and Television programmes about Country’s issues have developed a lost hope of education. Tv programmes also have given the young adults a comfort zone living freely not taking education seriously.
