Vet Farm – Place in the rolling hills of Kajiado North, lay Vet Farm—a vast expanse of land with a storied past. This land, known for its lush greenery, became the center of attention as the Maa Community clashed with authorities over its ownership, alleging attempts of land grabbing.
For decades, Vet Farm remained idle, its potential untapped, as various factions vied for control.
The Maasai envisioned it as a hub for cattle breeding and essential government services. However, it lay dormant, a symbol of unresolved disputes and missed opportunities.
In early 2024, a new chapter unfolded as President Ruto pledged to transform Vet Farm.
His ambitious manifesto promised a housing project and a railway station, igniting hope for progress among the local population. Construction began, signaling a shift in the fate of the once-neglected land.
Amidst the turmoil and development, Ngong Vet Farm took on another role—it became a sanctuary for spiritual seekers. Hundreds of Ngong residents flocked to its hilly terrain, finding solace and connection in its serene surroundings. Prayer gatherings and moments of introspection flourished, adding a new dimension to the land’s identity.
As the housing project took shape and the railway station neared completion, Vet Farm emerged as a symbol of resilience and renewal.
Its journey from a battleground to a place of worship and progress mirrored the complexities of human existence—a testament to the enduring spirit of community and the power of hope in the face of adversity.
