The journey of William Kipchirchir Samoei Ruto a political intelligent man who joined political arena in 1992 when he became Youths for Kanu (YK92) treasurer group. The group was created by late President Moi a strategic moves to get Kenya youths votes after registrar of parties had confirmed Kenya is a multi-parties nation.
Citizens that had differences with the ruling party KANU were joining new parties and forming strong Alliances.
Former President Daniel Toroitich Moi formed a youth wing called it Youths for KANU and put Cyrus Jirongo incharge, the team including William Ruto, Sam Nyamweya, Patrick Musumba, Micah Kigen and Gerald Bomett

After 1992 campaign Ruto started a journey of becoming President of Kenya, and because of Kenya constitution for anyone to be Deputy President and President one must be first Member of Parliament.
Ruto became Cabinet Secretary of Home Affairs from August to December, 2002 , Cabinet Secretary of Agriculture from 2008 to April 2010, Cabinet Secretary of Higher Education from April to October 2010 , Member of Parliament for Eldoret North (MP) from 1998 to 2013, Deputy President of Kenya from 2013 – 2022 and currently 2022 President-elect.
