Tingatinga Former Prime Minister of Kenya, Raila Odinga nickname. Tingatinga (Bulldozer) that builds a road interpretation for Raila in her political life.
In 1994, Raila Odinga defected from Ford Kenya Party and joined the National Development Party (NDP) in NDP was born the slogan of Tinga, a brief of Tingatinga. Tinga was originally a party slogan, but it made itself more sense to Raila’s nickname.
Tingatinga construct the road but once the road is paved, it is not allowed to pass on it, because it will destroy it. As is the name attribute Tinga, so is Raila. He has carved his political road here in Kenya, he has been the father of democracy and the advent of a multi-party political system.
Within 25 years, he has run for president five times and was unsuccessful. Raila first attempt to run for Presidency in 1997 on National Development Party (NDP) and in 2022 on Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance Party (Azimio Party) was his fifth attempt.
The five times that Raila Odinga has run for presidency are 1997, 2007, 2013, 2017 and 2022.
He has fallen but it doesn’t mean that for two and half decades Raila is failure, no! He has won everything except the Kenya presidency seat only. Raila Odinga is known as the father of Democracy.
