France have qualified to the Euros 2024 quarter finals after beating Belgium 1 – 0. It was a tough battle between two giants where only 4 shorts on targets was witnessed; 2 shorts on targets from each side.
It was unlucky day for the 37 year old Belgium defender Jan Vertonghen who scored an Own Goal against his team at 85th minute and see them out of the Euros 2024.
Portugal on the other hand had to qualify to the Euros 2024 quarter finals through penalties against Slovenia. Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty at 105th minute of the extra time forcing the match go to penalties after playing 0 – 0 for 120 minutes.
Portugal scored 3 conservative penalties while Slovenia lost 3 conservative penalties, Portugal goalkeeper Diogo Costa was definately the MOTM and the match ended 3 – 0 after penalties.
Now France will face Portugal in the Euros 2024 quarter finals where Kylian Mbappe will go against his idol Cristiano Ronaldo face to face searching for Semi-Finals.
