Breaking Transfer News: Major Moves in European Football

Manchester United has agreed on a deal to sign Matthijs de Ligt from FC Bayern Munich.

The total package is valued at €50 million, with a fixed fee of €45 million and an additional €5 million in add-ons. Payment will be spread over three years. De Ligt is set to sign a five-year deal with an option for an additional year.

Manchester United has also secured the signing of Noussair Mazraoui from Bayern for €15 million plus €5 million in add-ons.

This transfer was planned after the exit of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who is set to join West Ham. Mazraoui will sign a five-year contract, with an extra year option negotiated by his agent Pimenta.

Tottenham Hotspur has agreed to a £65 million deal for Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke, marking a record fee for both clubs. Solanke is expected to sign a six-year contract with Spurs.

Chelsea has been active as well, securing a €63 million deal for Pedro Neto from Wolves.

Neto has already agreed on personal terms, and Wolves are looking to replace him with Carlos Forbes from Ajax.

Chelsea also completed a £35 million deal for Samu Omorodion from Atlético Madrid, who will sign a seven-year contract, and a €20 million deal for Belgian goalkeeper Mike Penders from Genk, who will remain on loan at Genk until June 2025.

Atlético Madrid has made significant moves, signing Conor Gallagher from Chelsea for €42 million and agreeing on a €95 million package for Julián Álvarez from Manchester City. Álvarez, who was eager to join Atlético, will sign a five-year contract.

Barcelona has finalized a deal for Dani Olmo, the Euro 2024 top scorer, from RB Leipzig for €55 million plus €7 million in add-ons. Olmo will sign a six-year contract, making this Barça’s first move of the summer transfer window.

Fiorentina has agreed to sign David de Gea on a contract until June 2025, with an option for an additional year. De Gea, who recently left Manchester United, will undergo medical tests soon.

West Ham has successfully hijacked a deal to sign Jean-Clair Todibo from OGC Nice. The Hammers agreed on a €40 million deal, beating Juventus to the punch. Todibo and his agent are already en route to London for medical tests.

Lastly, Liverpool has sold Fábio Carvalho to Brentford for £20 million plus add-ons. Carvalho will join Brentford on a long-term contract after completing his medical.

AC Milan has also made a significant signing, agreeing to a deal for Emerson Royal from Tottenham. Emerson, who had several offers, chose AC Milan, and the final fee is expected to exceed €15 million. He is now preparing to travel to Italy to join the Rossoneri.
